I'm a Degree qualified Nutritionist in Western Sydney, and I'm pretty normal (most of the time)
I like to be honest and upfront from the start. I’m not perfect. I have a pretty balanced and reasonable approach to health and nutrition. If it’s my night off cooking, my favourite take out is a good wood-fired pizza and a bottle of red, but if we met up for brunch… I’d probably order the green goddess bowl over pancakes.. because they really do taste amazing - umm Halloumi... yes please!
I don’t live a perfect lifestyle and I’ll never pretend that I do, therefore I don’t expect you to either. We are all doing the best we can, juggling work, family, health, stressors, lockdowns etc. and that’s ok!
I do not religiously follow a certain eating style such as paleo, keto, vegetarian or vegan or any of the others that have come out recently but I like various aspects within each of them and some of them can have great therapeutic outcomes for certain conditions.
I eat for me and my unique body and I can help you eat for your unique body too. Everyone is different. Good nutrition and being healthy isn’t just about what you eat, it’s about your relationship with food, our emotions, our reason for eating, or not eating. That’s why when I meet with you, talking about food is only a small part of it and the strategies we use are reasonable and achievable.
My special interests have always been gut health, IBS, allergies, autoimmune disease, mental health and behavioural disorders but lately have developed a love for seeing people meeting health goals with healthy weight loss strategies!
I live with my husband Jez and my 3 teens/tweens (yes I need a new website photo), who keep me pretty busy being a taxi driver, counsellor and part time tutor (or homeschooler of late) - hence my realistic approach!
I love reading, planning dream travel itineraries I hope to one day take, walking in nature and the occasional hot yoga session! I am a people person and love getting to know my clients so I look forward to getting to know you as well!
Seeing a new practitioner can feel a bit intimidating if you don’t know what to expect.
Every session is a safe, judgement-free space. You can talk through your health concerns and ask any questions you may have.
I understand that a one-size-fits-all approach does not actually fit all. That’s why we’ll focus on practical and realistic solutions tailored to your lifestyle and goals.
Our first session together is a fact-finding mission. Treating the symptoms you’re experiencing is only one piece of the puzzle. To help you achieve your best health and lasting results, we need to identify where it started and treat the root cause.
Prior to your session, you will have completed an initial intake form which will provide me with information relevant to understand your current health status. This will include current and past medications and supplements, health conditions, symptoms etc.
If you have any relevant test results, please bring those along with you or send a copy in advance.
Each Nutrition Consult will involve:
Metabolic Balance®️ appointments will include a body composition analysis as well some other measurements. I will then formulate a treatment plan based on the data however in more complex cases I may give you a few tips to take away and prepare a more comprehensive treatment plan to help you move forward and take you through this in the next appointment.
I work with both children and adults.
